Kal Skirata, sometimes called Kal'buir (Mando'a for 'Papa Kal') by the clone commandos that he trained, was a Mandalorian instructor for clone commandos in the Grand Army of the Republic. The armor he wore was colored a dull sand brown.
BiographyEdit
Life as a MandalorianEdit
As a boy, he was orphaned by war and adopted into a Mandalorian clan by Munin Skirata. Drive in reverse road test questions. Kal's three-sided knife was all he could salvage from his father's body. When Munin found the young Kal, the first thing Kal did was attack Munin with his knife. Munin adopted Kal in a very Mandalorian fashion, and gave him the name Kal, meaning knife in Mando'a. His careers included being a mercenary, bounty hunter, bodyguard, assassin, and debt collector, along with many other tough jobs.
He married a non-Mandalorian, Ilippi, whom he had three children with. However, she could not understand his Mandalorian ways or accept his long absences, so she eventually left him, taking their children with her. A few years before Kamino, his ankle was shredded by a Verpineshatter gun. The injury would later become a grievance for the rest of his career.
When Jango Fett was recruiting the Cuy'val Dar, Kal was one of the first names on the list. He and Jango went back a long way, and had an up and down relationship. Kal was a very aggressive Mandalorian traditionalist and was devoted to the welfare of his troops.
Training clonesEdit
Eight years before the Battle of Geonosis, Kal was brought to Kamino when he answered Jango Fett's call for clone trainers. He was disgusted with the Kaminoans' arrogance and indifferent attitude toward the 'processing'—killing—of children. He first met the Nulls when the Kaminoan technicians considered them failures and had to be destroyed. He became sympathetic to the clones, and took the Nulls under his wing, giving them names and training them specifically. How to play cuckoo card game youtube. The Nulls were very fond of Kal, and would only answer and be commanded by him.
Shortly after the Battle of Geonosis, when Kal's contract as a Cuy'val Dar was finally over, Kal had to be placed in custody to help calm down the Null ARCs, but he helped on the condition that he would be re-enlisted in the Grand Army of the Republic.
PersonalityEdit
He disliked many of the things that the Kaminoans did to the clones, and was deeply disturbed by the treatment of his 'boys'. He was able to smuggle in treats and other restricted things for the clones, and wanted them to embrace their Mandalorian heritage. He also hated living on the water world of Kamino, as it made his shattered ankle play up.

The Alpha-class Advanced Recon Commandos (Alpha-ARC) were the first 100 Advanced Recon Commandos created from Jango Fett's DNA by the cloners of Kamino. They were the second-generation of ARC-Troopers, succeeding after the Null-ARC's.
The Alpha-class ARC troopers were developed following the growth of the Null-ARC's whose existence was a closely-guarded secret among the Kaminoans. The lessons learned during production of the Null ARCs helped greatly in refining the Alpha ARCs.
Although the Alpha-class ARCs were created with unaltered independent minds just like their Null-class predecessors, these second generation ARCs were more obedient and reliable to the Jedi because Jango had instructed the Alpha-class ARCs to follow their orders. However, this did not stop the ARCs from voicing their disagreements or even their opinion of a Jedi's order that the ARCs saw as incompetent or lacking of enough strategy.
When the Kaminoan had grown and trained the Alpha ARCs under Jango's personal tutelage, they were unaware that Fett was able to install his own personal orders in all of the Alpha ARCs, such as to destroy all of the younger clones should Kamino ever fall into the hands of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Alpha-17 nearly carried out this order during the Invasion Of Kamino but the Galactic Republic managed to hold the planet.
Eventually, after the creation of the Null-ARC's and Alpha-ARC's, Taun We would secretly create another batch of ARC's known as the: Delta-ARC's, disobeying Lama Su's orders to not produce more ARC-batches, which she did so in order to provide a cover spot story for Delta-3530 Gohan to be trained by Jango Fett alongside the Alpha-ARC's.

ARC Troopers, formally known as Advanced Recon Commandos, were elite clone troopers who served the Republic during the Clone Wars. They were usually sent on various combat missions that other clones could not accomplish. While this was the case for most ARC Troopers, several other ARCs chose to remain on Kamino to observe Clone Cadet training and to pick out potential ARC Trooper candidates from the latest batch of Cadets.

The armor set included a kama and pauldron for added defense and had specialized helmets which were equipped with range finders. ARC Trooper armor was overall bulkier and served as a preview for the Phase II clone trooper armor. Eventually, when the Phase II armor was issued, all known ARC Troopers began ultizing the more flexible and comfortable version.ARC Troopers commonly customized their armor for identification purposes and were known to have intricate designs on their equipment, particularily their kamas. Plot[edit]
Etain Tur-Mukan finally tells Darman that her son, Kad Skirata, who is under the guise of Kal Skirata's grandchild from one of his biological children, is also Darman's son. Though Darman is angered by this initially for Etain and Skirata keeping this from him, he finally starts to spend time with Etain and Kad during their 'quiet' moments when he and Etain are not out in battle in the Clone Wars.
Skirata becomes a wanted in the Old Republic because of him falsely stating that he killed Kaminoan geneticist Ko Sai, who played a major role in creating the Jango Fett clones, and then stole her data. And during that time, Skirata manages to bust Ovolot Qail Uthan, Separatist scientist imprisoned three years earlier by Omega Squad for trying to create a Fett clone virus, from prison because Skirata believes that despite her actions, he sees her as the ultimate key to giving the Fett clones a normal life span, since their life spans are lengthened by double the time (e.g., if they are chronologically two years old, then they're biologically four years old, etc.). Along with busting Uthan from prison is Arla Fett, Jango Fett's long lost insane sister, and Ruusaan Skirata, Kal's biological daughter. Meanwhile, Besany Wennen, Republic Treasury agent who is now married to one of Skirata's clones, Ordo, is almost caught by the authorities for sneaking into data files to find out the Republic's plan for the clones in the near future of the war. However, the Gurlanins, who have reclaimed their home planet of Qiilura from the colonist humans under the machinations of Etain, decide to repay the debt by framing Besany's friend, Jilka Zan Zentis, for the crime. However, under Skirata's hand, Jilka is set free from the authorities, a wanted fugitive now, and under Skirata's band.
But just when Skirata's plans for bringing a positive future for his clone adopted sons seem to come into fruition, Chancellor Palpatine enacts Order 66, which means that all clones must kill off their Jedi commanders. Etain managed to have renounced her Jedi ways prior to Order 66's enactment and married Darman in a traditional Mandalorian way over a comm message. But Etain is trapped on a bridge on Coruscant with many other citizens of the Republic by clone troopers who are scanning for any Jedi to be killed in the crowd. Skirata, Darman and Skirata's other clones arrive to extract Etain, but Jedi are found among the crowd. And during the ensuing battle, Etain protects a clone from being killed by a Jedi wielding a lightsaber, and she is killed from the wound. Darman's fellow clone brother, Niner, is wounded from the battle when his spine is broken, and clones extract Niner to heal him up, with Darman following along to stay with his wounded brother, now that he is grieving for his lost wife.
Skirata and all the others leave Coruscant and head for the Mandalorian home planet of Mandalore just as the Clone Wars come to an end, along with the Jedi Order thanks to Order 66 and of the Republic, being replaced by Palpatine's self-promotion to Emperor of the new Galactic Empire. As for Darman and Niner, they are now Imperial Commandos.
